The SARS-CoV-2 Self-Testing Kit is certified for the qualitative detection of SARS-CoV-2 antigens in nasal swab samples.
Human nasal swab samples can be collected from individuals over 15 years of age.
Individuals aged 2 to 15 years should be sampled and tested by an adult (≥18 years).
This set is not suitable for children under the age of two. A self-exam can be done at any time, whether or not you have symptoms.
The kit is designed for self-diagnosis and can be used as an aid to diagnose current COVID-19 infections.
the use:
Remove secretions from the surface of the anterior nasal cavity before taking the sample.
Open the foil pouch and remove the test strip.
After opening the package, the contents of the test should be used within 1 hour to ensure the reliability of the result.
Open the package containing the swab and extract it; Do not touch the cotton tip of the swab. The tip of the swab should be inserted into the nasal cavity to a depth of about 3-4 cm, until resistance is felt. If you feel great resistance or pain, do not try to insert the tampon any deeper.
Rotate the swab along the inner wall of the nostril 5 times.
Using the same swab, repeat the process in the other nostril as well, making sure to take an adequate sample from both nostrils. Remove the swab from the nostril.
Remove the white cap from the rinse tube.
Insert the swab into the tube (Dip the tip of the swab into the hook and make sure the sample is released into the suction by rubbing the swab and shaking it up and down at least 10 times.
Depress the tube and squeegee to allow the sample to be fully released into the eluent. Get rid of the swab.
Place the dropper tip on the tube and close it tightly.
Mix the sample by gently inverting the tube, and tap the tube to dispense 4 drops (approximately 80 mL) into the sample well into the test strip and start the timer.
Warning: A sample size that is too large or too small can result in inaccurate or invalid test results.
Read the results after 10 minutes.
The result is invalid after 15 minutes.
Put the swab, tube and test strip into the disposal bag after use.
Interpretation of results
Negative: If only a red line appears in the quality control area (line C) in the result window, this may mean that the test is negative or the viral load is too low to be detected. Continue to comply with all applicable rules regarding contact with others and preventive measures. An infection may be present even if the test result is negative. If suspected, repeat the test after a day or two, as the Corona virus cannot be accurately detected at all stages of infection. Avoid using the results to exclude SARS-CoV-2 infection for the purpose of accrediting travel and participation in public events.
Positive: If you see two red lines, one in the control line region (line C) and one in the test line region (line T), the result is positive. There is currently a suspicion of infection with COVID-19. Immediately contact your doctor or local health department and have a PCR test done. Follow all local guidelines for self-isolation.
Invalid: If no red line appears or only red line appears in the test line region (T-line) and no line appears in the QC line region (C-Line), the result is invalid. Executing an incorrect test can produce an invalid result. Repeat the test with a new test strip. If test results remain invalid, contact your doctor or COVID-19 testing center.
